A rare English Regency period mantel clock in the gothic taste, the 8-day painted dial movement with hour and quarter-hour strike on two bells. This clock is unusually shallow from front to back and the original back door is one piece of shaped cast brass. Inside there is a bespoke wooden key drawer.
The brass backplate of the movement has an engraved border and this decoration is repeated on the round brass pendulum bob.
