A very elegant pair of figured walnut veneered single chairs with vase shaped splats and curvaceous upright supports. The cabriole shaped front legs have well carved acanthus leaf knees and they terminate on ball and claw feet. The beautifully mellow fruit, flower and foliate needlework seats in varying shades of green, brown and beige are of a similar period and are probably French.
