A very elegant George III period ebonised bell top bracket clock standing on brass ogee bracket feet and having a single facetted brass carrying handle to the bell top case.

The six inch arched brass dial is mounted with a silvered chapter ring and a subsidiary ring for Strike/Silent in the arch. The maker’s signature Samuel Cochran, London is engraved on an inset silvered cartouche within the finely matted brass dial centre. There is also an aperture to view the day of the month above VI.

The twin fusee movement has a restored knife edge verge escapement and hour strike sounded on a single bell. The back plate is exquisitely engraved with flowers and foliage within  a scribe line border.
