The 5-pillar, 8-day chain-driven double fusee movement strikes the hours on a coiled gong and its original jewelled lever escapement is visible through the top bevelled glass. The backplate is signed and numbered Brockbank & Atkins, London: 2137.

Height: 8 ⅝ in (22 cm)

* Brockbank & Atkins were excellent clockmakers working in the late Regency period. They are listed on page 104 of Brian Loomes’ Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World as being active in London between 1815 and 1839.
