An unusual English gilt engine turned carriage timepiece, the 8-day movement with a single fusee. The 2 ¼ inch round dial has Roman hour numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial with blued steel Breguet style hands. The silvered dial is beautifully engraved with scrolling foliage. The movement is wound through an opening and closing shutter from the rear.
