A rare English ebonised and brass inlaid mantel clock with exquisitely engraved brass and silvered dial. The 8-day movement with platform lever escapement mounted on the backplate, maintaining power and hour strike on a gong. The top with its inset brass handle is removable so that the movement can be viewed from above.
